  4.     A Type 1 Postscript font by Meg Hamel

  6. This font is based on one called "Flash," but I renamed it because 
  7. Flash is also the name of a typeface similar to Dom Casual. Chili 
  8. Pepper is slanted to the right and has bold slashes of black and 
  9. white, creating a textured, toothy look.
  10.  
  11. The font consists of 26 upper case letters. The lower case letters 
  12. are the same as the upper case, but reduced by 25%. This makes it 
  13. easy to use different sized letters without changing point size. 
  14. All other characters have been replaced with a period.

  16. This font was created using Publisher's Typefoundry. I had a hard 
  17. time trying to get the spacing & kerning to look right, so I 
  18. recommend that you use this font with software that gives you 
  19. control over the kerning. However, because this is such an unusual 
  20. font, you probably won't want to use it for much text. Try using 
  21. it for large, inset dropcaps, or maybe as part of a logo. The 
  22. numerals could be very effective for numbered text.

  24. This is my first publicly released font, and I have no idea where 
  25. the bugs may be (other than the spacing mentioned above). It looks 
  26. fine using Adobe Type Manager.

  28. 1) If it doesn't work for you or if a character looks funny, 
  29. please let me know. Maybe we can fix it and get a new release out. 
  30. This might also keep me from repeating a mistake on my next 
  31. typeface.

  33. 2) If you change it, please let me know so I can see your 
  34. improvements, etc. This will also allow me to get a better copy 
  35. distributed to everyone.

  37. 3) Don't sell this font, or include it in any package that is 
  38. sold. I don't charge for it, so why should anyone else?!
